1998 Season Moved into the cleanup spot and immediately became a team leader as he led the club in home runs (44), RBI (121) and slugging percentage (.595)...Set a Braves franchise record for homers by a first baseman by hitting his 39th 8/21 vs. SD, eclipsing Joe Adcock's mark of 38 set in 1956...His 121 RBI also set a franchise mark for first basemen, bettering Dan Brouthers 118 in 1889 for the then Boston Beaneaters...First player to hit at least 40 HR in consecutive years for 2 different teams, had 41 last year for Colorado...
